After a brief review and period to work on blogs, we took the quiz on Chapters 1-18 of Huck Finn.  Following the quiz, students worked on their blogs.

HOMEWORK:  Continue reading in the novel (up through page 164 by 2/14).

WHAT’S NEXT:  The Duke and the King.

SHOW TIME!  We watched performances from the groups who decided to do scenes from Shakespeare.  Some were better prepared than others. 

HOMEWORK:  Review all homework and reading on “Gulliver’s Travels”.

WHAT’S NEXT:  Encores and “Gulliver’s Travels”.  Quiz on “GT” on Wednesday.

WHAT’S NEXT:  The Duke and the King

We worked on Article Tracking Sheets for the articles which are due on Monday.  We talked about using the extra time to track down sources and write complete articles instead of incomplete (not enough sources) ones.  We talked about how to get ideas from the story generators, and how story generators must always connect somehow with our readers.

HOMEWORK:  Two articles due on Monday.
