Period 1 – Journalism

• Students should exchange the column drafts which were due yesterday with each other. Everyone should initial each column as they read it. Students should try to read all drafts before the end of the period.
• Students may work on their articles which are due on Friday. Please remind them that they must use the Google documents site (http://docs.google.com) for their articles. They may use the computers if they wish.
• Students may also work on story generators (on going assignment which they are aware of).

Period 2 – Grade 11, American Lit

• Students may read from their novels (The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn). They are to be finished with the novel by Friday.

Period 5B – Grade 12, British and World Literature

• Students are to read “A Modest Proposal” (502-508 ) and answer Reading Check and Shaping Interpretations questions on page 513. This assignment is to be turned in at the end of class. They should have plenty of time to complete this assignment if they work quietly.
• All “Gulliver’s Travels” essays will be collected on Monday.

Period 6B – Grade 11, American Literature

• Ask for a volunteer to lead the class in a review of the vocabulary homework (I’ve attached the answer sheet). Quiz will be on Monday.
• After reviewing the vocabulary answers, students may read from their novels (The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn). They are to be finished with the novel by Monday.

We reviewed chapters 19-31 and took the quiz.

HOMEWORK:  Study vocab for unit 9.  Quiz on Wednesday.

WHAT’S NEXT:  Test on Huck Finn on Friday 3/9.

We used Google Docs to collaborate on the latest set of articles.  So far, it’s working very well.

HOMEWORK:  Continue revising your articles and collaborating on others.
