Grade 12

We read from our novels for the first part of the period. Following that, I returned the Gulliver’s Travels essay, reviewing the MLA formatting problems the class had.

After the break, we read Wordsworth’s “Lucy” poems (p. 663-665). We tried to figure out what Lucy was like, what aspects of Romanticism were evident in the poems and what poetic devices Wordsworth used.

HOMEWORK: Prepare for quiz on Lucy poems on Friday.

WHAT’S NEXT: Coleridge

Layout continued.  We are still waiting for articles on the drama competition, ice hockey, boys basketball, wrestling and swimming (among others).  We looked through some March Madness photos for the front page.
