We continued to prepare for the debates on Friday. Groups worked on their written requirements and prepared their parts.

I also returned the Gatsby tests and offered a retake on Friday before the debates.

We finished watching Shattered Glass.  The students used the rest of the time preparing their stringbooks for tomorrow.

We continued watching To Kill a Mockingbird.

I returned the Gatsby tests.  I am allowing a retake of the test because I made them too hard.  The retake will be on Thursday.

HOMEWORK:  Prepare for the retake.

Research papers were due.  We finished watching The Great Gatsby.

I returned the Gatsby tests and announced that there will be a make up for all students on Thursday.

We began watching Shattered Glass, the story of journalist gone bad Stephen Glass.  There is a packet which goes with the film which will be due on 5/31.  Here’s the schedule for the last week of classes:

We worked on revising our research paper.  We talked about smoothing out our quotes and using proper format for citations.

HOMEWORK:  Finish revisions of research paper for Tuesday.

We watched the beginning of The Great Gatsby film.  Some students worked on their research paper drafts.

HOMEWORK:  Finish research paper revisions and submit them on Tuesday.

We finished the last five minutes of Minority Report and collected all work that was due.

We watched the beginning of V for Vendetta.
