We reviewed vocab sentences and talked about strategies to employ when answering these questions.

HOMEWORK:  Do “Synonyms”, “Antonyms”, and “Choose the Right Word” for Unit 1.  Work on American dream projects.

We took an SAT writing prompt and worked on revising our college application essays.  Vocab books were also distributed.

HOMEWORK:  Finish final draft of college application essay.  Study vocab for quiz on 9/12

We began by reviewing the vocab words.  After a stretch, we talked about Puritanism and how it conflicted with the growing influence of science.

HOMEWORK:  Read 26-35 “Of Plymouth Plantation” and answer Shaping Interpretation questions on 35.  Study vocab words for quiz on 9/10.  Work on American Dream projects for Monday.
