We exchanged our college essays and read them out loud to each other, listening for sentence and logic errors.

Following that, we took an SAT writing prompt quiz.

HOMEWORK: Complete final draft of college app. essays. FCA’s:

60 points: At least four specific details

20 points: 4 labeled compound sentences

20 points: Reveal some quality about yourself not evident in your resume.

Study Vocab Unit 1 for quiz on 9/14.

Advanced and JII students worked on the Student Expression project.

Intro students set up the Google Docs account and practiced with the software.

HOMEWORK:  Four Story Generators due 9/14, Two articles due 9/21.

We reviewed the final vocabulary exercises in preparation for the quiz on Monday.

I showed the class my website and how to navigate the pages.

We talked briefly about the Bradford reading they will be doing this weekend.

HOMEWORK:  Study for vocabulary quiz on unit 1 for Monday.  American Dream projects due on Tuesday.  Read 27-35 in text (”Of Plymouth Plantation”) and answer Shaping Interpretations questions on page 35.
