We began by discussing the chivalry tests and who people thought was the best knight.
Next we wrote a love poem and chose the most important word and a word which describes the tone of the poem.
We then read the Shepherd-Nymph poems by Marlowe and Raleigh and discussed them.
HOMEWORK: Study the poems for the test on Tuesday.

We defined the vocab words in preparation for the quiz on Tuesday.
Following that, we brainstormed words that described Americans. We came up with more negative than positive. We discussed our findings and came up with specific examples to support our opinions.
I connected that discussion with Huck Finn, and explained that Twain expresses his opinions on Americans in the novel.
HOMEWORK: Continue reading and working on journals.
