We began our study of Macbeth today.  I distributed ideas for Macbeth Projects.  We began reading Act I.

HOMEWORK:  Finish reading Act I and answer Reading Check questions on page 318.

We began a unit on column writing today.  We looked at examples from Rick Reilly from Sports Illustrated and Kevin Cullen from The Boston Globe.  We also began writing our own columns today for use in the next round of articles.

HOMEWORK:  Story Generators due on Friday.  Next articles due on 12/7.

We discussed the time period from 1800 to 1860 and took notes on American Romanticism.

HOMEWORK:  Bring textbook, vocab book and Huck Finn book.
