Early dismissal today because of the snow, so we didn’t do much.  Essays were turned in.

We watched the conclusion of Macbeth and reviewed the questions at the end of the Act.

Work on the Macbeth Projects will begin after vacation.

Most students were assisting with the NHS dinner for the elderly, so we didn’t get much done today.

HOMEWORK:  Read Act V and answer reading check questions which follow.

We continued with layout today.

HOMEWORK:  New articles due on Friday, December 21.

We began watching It’s a Wonderful Life.  We finished with George and Mary getting together.

HOMEWORK:  Final drafts of the essay is due tomorrow.

We did some peer editing of the essays today. We discussed using the literary present and creating transitions between paragraphs.

HOMEWORK: Final drafts are due on Thursday.  Please bring in rough drafts as well.

We watched Acts III-IV of Macbeth then discussed Act IV. Students got together in pairs to re-read Act IV, scene 3 and interpret the lines.

HOMEWORK:  Read Act V and answer the Reading Check questions on page 387.

We worked on the essays again today.

HOMEWORK:  Drafts of essays are due Thursday.  Make sure to bring your textbooks to class tomorrow.

We took the quiz on Act III today.  Following that we continued with our dramatic reading of Act IV.

HOMEWORK:  Finish reading Act IV and answer reading check questions which follow.
