Students were able to work on the Last of the Mohicans Essay.  It will be due on Thursday.

HOMEWORK:  Continue working on essay.

We looked at a couple of drafts student’s wrote for the Last of the Mohicans Essay.  I asked students to concentrate on:

1. Explain how the characters demonstrate the qualities of Romanticism.
2. Make sure the title of the film is either underlined or italicized.
3. Refer to all events which occur in the film in the present tense.
4. Work to eliminate excess words, phrases or sentences.

HOMEWORK:  Finish the first draft of the essay and bring it to class on Tuesday.

We began with the quiz on Act III. Following that, we began reading Act IV.

HOMEWORK: Finish reading Act IV and answer Reading Check questions which follow.

We continued to work on the Last of the Mohicans Essay.

HOMEWORK:  Continue to work on the essay.

We began with a type two writing on how Nathaniel can be considered a Romantic Hero. After that we discussed how to organize the Last of the Mohicans Essay.

HOMEWORK: Write the first paragraph of the essay.

We finished watching The Last of the Mohicans and began organizing the Last of the Mohicans Essay.

HOMEWORK:  Complete one of the sections of the essay and the intro paragraph.

We watched Act III of Macbeth and discussed it, focusing on the banquet scene.   We also read the first scene of Act IV and discussed the witches prophecies.

We finished watching The Last of the Mohicans.

HOMEWORK:  Review notes and begin writing essay.

We had our budget meeting for the January issue today.  After that we began with layout and I worked with individual students on their stories.

HOMEWORK:  Continue revising stories.  Next story generators due on December 17.
