We began a unit on Transcendentalism with some notes on the concept and began reading Emerson’s “Self Reliance”.

HOMEWORK: Finish reading “Self-Reliance” and read “Nature” (p. 219) and answer “Shaping Interpretation” questions on both pieces on page 228.

We finished It’s a Wonderful Life today and took a take home quiz.

HOMEWORK:  Finish the quiz and bring in your text book tomorrow.

We began work on our Macbeth Projects today.   Students taking the test will do that on Wednesday, January 9.  Essays will be due on the 9th as well.
