We took the quiz on A Prayer for Owen Meany Chapters 1-3 today.

The reading schedule for the rest of the novel is as follows:

• Chapters 4-6 by May 20 (Quiz on May 22)
• Finish novel by June 2 (Exam on June 4)

After the quiz, we read Frost’s “Mending Wall” and talked about what Frost’s version of the American Dream might be.

HOMEWORK:  Continue working on the research paper and reading the novel.

I met with all the students who were “sick” on Tuesday about their note cards.  Some students began to write their drafts (which are due on Monday).

HOMEWORK:  Complete rough draft for Monday.

We talked about the Frost and Hughes Research Paper today.  We didn’t set any deadlines yet because we still have to read the poems.

HOMEWORK:  Buy note cards.
