Students worked on research papers and reading the novels while I met individually with each student about the paper.

HOMEWORK: Ten note cards for your research paper. Chapters 4-6 in Owen Meany must be read by May 20.

We continued working on our research papers today.

HOMEWORK: Novel projects are due on Friday.

We began with a type II writing about the poets we’ve been studying and which one student’s like best.  Following that we looked at Hughes poem “Harlem” and heavy discussion ensued.
