We discussed Faulkner’s Nobel speech and his expectations of great literature.  We began to discuss Hamlet and began watching the first few scenes of the play.  I distributed copies of the text.

I also collected the college essays.

HOMEWORK:  Review notes on Hamlet.

We began discussing the Blogs of War project  and looked at some military blogs on http://milblogging.com.

HOMEWORK:  Find a blog to use for your project.

We reviewed the homework and discussed more about how to take vocabulary quizzes.

HOMEWORK:  Continue working on American Dream project and Voyage to Zoltan.

We looked at articles from other high school newspapers on-line and produced a story generator from them.
