We checked some blog entries and saw what the criteria for grading would be.

Following that, we looked closely at Act II of Hamlet, focusing on Hamlet’s supposed madness.

HOMEWORK:  Re-read the end of Act II.

I returned the college application essays, and we did a brief lesson on comma usage and correcting run on sentences.

HOMEWORK:  Revise your essays and choose five commas and explain why they appear in your essay.

We created practice sentences for the vocabulary words and then continued reading the Bradford text.

HOMEWORK:  Read pp. 31-33 and take 20 notes.  Study vocabulary words.

We continued to review articles on the projector, focusing on order of information and concise writing.

HOMEWORK:  Revise your articles for clarity and order of information.  New articles due on Friday.
