  • Ask students to get into the groups from the last class.  In the sub folder, there are five packets of papers with the group names on them.  Distribute packets to appropriate groups.
  • Student need to complete the peer evaluation exercise we began last class.  All essays and evaluation sheets must be returned at the end of the period and paper clipped back together.
  • Once the students complete this, they can use the computers to comment on three other student blogs which were submitted on Friday.
  • Students may also read from Pride and Prejudice.

War Literature

  • Working with a partner, they should complete an “A to Z” list on the Vietnam War era.  They write the letters of the alphabet, one on each line of the paper, and write in a word or term which relates to the time period.  For example, “S for Saigon”.  Students need to be able to explain the significance of the term.  20 terms will be a grade of “A”, with an additional bonus point awarded for each additional term.  This will count as half a quiz grade on term 1.  All work is to be turned in at the end of the period.  They may use the computers for this.
