We did our one minute drill for the first section of Pride and Prejudice.  Most of the comments focused on the difference between their society and ours.  After that, we worked on the research projects for the remainder of the period.

HOMEWORK:  Continue reading the novel and working on the project.

I posted the first reading deadline for The Things They Carried.  Here’s the link for the reading schedule.  The first section should be read by 11/13.  We spent the rest of the period on the projects.  Presentations will begin tomorrow.

We took a quiz on the first part of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and listened to the third part of the audio version.

HOMEWORK:  Review notes from story.

We finished watching All the President’s Men and talked about the role of anonymous sources.

We brainstormed story ideas for the next deadline (November 14).  Story Generators are due on November 12.
