We listened to one presentation on “The Wall” and heard the song “Ballad of the Green Berets”.

Following that, we took the quiz on the first section of The Things They Carried.

HOMEWORK:  Prepare for class discussion on the novel.

We listen to the Austen presentations today.

HOMEWORK:  Prepare for one minute drill on second section of Pride and Prejudice reading on Monday.

We looked at the website for The Lantern from Revere High in Richfield, OH, looking for new article ideas.  We discussed the policies some schools have for publishing student names on line.

We used the rest of the period to continue with layout or work on articles.

HOMEWORK:  Articles due on Friday.

I handed out a new vocabulary list (unit 5) today, and we reviewed the definitions.
Following that, we worked on the next two paragraphs on our American Romanticism essay.  We looked for quotes from “Thanatopsis” to support our thesis.

HOMEWORK:  Finish the two “Thanatopsis” paragraphs.
