I reminded the class of the essay due on December 5, and we talked about the FCA’s.

We spent the majority of the class watching an episode of the PBS documentary Vietnam:  A Television History.  It focused on the soldiers on the ground from 1965-1967.

HOMEWORK:  Read in the novel.

While the copy editors were working on layout, the rest of us looked at today’s article in the Boston Globe on proposed changes to MCAS.  We looked at the pros and cons of the argument and began writing an editorial on the issue.

HOMEWORK:  Story Generators due on Friday.  Work on editorials.

We analyzed “The Tide Rises and the Tide Falls” by Longfellow and began to incorporate it into our essay on American Romanticism.

HOMEWORK:  Write the two paragraphs for the Longfellow poem.
