We wrapped up our discussion of Pride and Prejudice with a one minute drill. After that we took a close look at Elizabeth’s confrontation with Lady Catherine and Darcy’s second proposal.

We shared some of our story generators and then embarked on a discussion of the Twilight movie which debuts today. We looked at the Globe review and talked about how a review is constructed.

We listened to the final presentation on the Arts in the early 19th Cent. to start and then watched the first part of a film version of Pride and Prejudice.

I reminded the class of the essay due on December 5, and we talked about the FCA’s.
We spent the majority of the class watching an episode of the PBS documentary Vietnam: A Television History. It focused on the soldiers on the ground from 1965-1967.
HOMEWORK: Read in the novel.

While the copy editors were working on layout, the rest of us looked at today’s article in the Boston Globe on proposed changes to MCAS. We looked at the pros and cons of the argument and began writing an editorial on the issue.
