We watched the Inauguration of President Obama.

We talked a little bit about the historical background of WWI in preparation for our unit on that conflict.  We will begin watching Letters from Iwo Jima tomorrow.

We looked at the deadlines for term three and the assignments.  After that, students entered information about their past articles on a spreadsheet so that we can begin deciding which articles will go into the next issue.

HOMEWORK:  Story Generators due on Monday.

We began reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn yesterday.  We read the first chapter.

HOMEWORK:  Write down five things you know about the character of Huck Finn.
