We began looking at some poems from WWI today. We read “The Rear Guard” and “Dulce et Decorum Est” and worked with partners on answering questions.

We began looking at the Shepardson/Grangerford chapters in Huck Finn. We began making a chart of the incidents Huck witnesses looking for things about humanity that Twain satirizes.
HOMEWORK: Finish reading up through chapter 31.
