We took a look some other literature from the Civil War period:  Lincoln’s “Gettysburg Address” and a couple of poems from Walt Whitman (right), “A Sight in Camp” and “The Artilleryman’s Vision”.  Click here for the texts.

We took a quiz on Invisible Man chapters 13-15 today and then discussed the narrator’s first speech in front of the mob in Harlem protesting an eviction.

We began discussing the recent article about Tyngsborough exploring regionalizing parts of the school district with Pelham, NH.  There were two articles:  Pelham may consider two-state school plan in the Eagle Tribune and Due to financial crisis, Tyngsboro extends school regionalization invite in The Lowell Sun.  We began to brainstorm questions for the Superintendent.

After that, we shared other story ideas from the Story Generators the students handed in today.
