Students turned in their Huckleberry Finn Facebook pages.  We also went through the novel looking for significant quotes which could end up on the test on Thursday.

HOMEWORK:  Have five quotes with explanations for Wednesday.

Great Books A

We had our one minute drill on the second section of Invisible Man.  We talked about the Liberty Paint Company and its obvious symbolism and the connection between the Brotherhood and the Communist Party.  Good discussion today.

HOMEWORK:  Continue working on the website research projects.

We had our one minute drill on the last two sections of The Killer Angels.  We discussed the different leadership styles of Robert E. Lee and Joshua Chamberlain (pictured at right).

We began by looking at the recent Boston Globe series on Ted Kennedy and looking at how the Globe used the different kinds of media to flesh out the story.  We talked about how that may be the future of journalism.  Click here for a link to the series.

Following that, we worked on layout and tallying the results from the technology polls.
