First I passed out the term four syllabus and Pygmalion assignments and copies of Pygmalion.

Then we moved to a Type II, 25 line writing assignment:

Support or refute the following statement:  there a social class system (a hierarchy of groups in a society) at work among the student body of Tyngsborough High School.

Following that, we had an excellent discussion on the topic.

HOMEWORK:  First novel blog entries due on Friday.

War Literature

We reviewed the study questions from Henry V, Act I.  We discussed Henry’s justification for war and the factors which influenced him.

I also discussed the grading policy for term four:

  • 30%   Henry V assignments

  • 30%   American Revolution project assignments

  • 30%   Senior writing assignments

  • 10%   Participation and Effort (including attendance)
