We talked about the do’s and don’ts of graduation speeches and viewed one from the 80’s (never mind whose it was).

Following that, students delivered their Freshman Orientation speeches.

We continued with Henry V today, listening to scene 1 from Act IV.

HOMEWORK:  Continue working on graduation speeches.

We continued to work on the layout of the next issue.

HOMEWORK:  Story Generators due on Friday.

We began research for our papers on life in the Jazz Age today.  Students established a file on Google Docs where they can collect notes for use in their papers.

We also reviewed the definitions of the vocabulary words from The Great Gatsby.

HOMEWORK:  Continue research on your topic.
