The students who missed the quiz on Friday took it today.

After that, we listened to the prologue of Act IV of Henry V and used the detail in it to set the scene for the act.

We chose topics for our Jazz Age research project today.  Here they are:

  • Ashley – baseball

  • Shawn – cars

  • Bill – music

  • Joe – boxing

  • Courtney – education

  • David – food

  • Cheyenne – technology

  • Dom – social life

  • Tori – entertainment

I also handed out a list of vocabulary words from The Great Gatsby.  The quiz on the first group of words will be on Friday.

HOMEWORK:  Get the definitions for the vocabulary words.

I passed out a list of vocabulary words from the first part of Huck Finn.  Then we listened to Chapters 2-4 and took some notes.

We looked at the deadlines for term three and the assignments.  After that, students entered information about their past articles on a spreadsheet so that we can begin deciding which articles will go into the next issue.
